| Organizational Description | |
| The Fresno State Alumni Association is dedicated to uniting and advancing the interests and traditions of alumni and friends of California State University, Fresno, and providing scholarship opportunities that attract and support highly motivated students to the University. The Fresno State Alumni Association has roots to the first Fresno Normal School graduating class of 1912, and was incorporated in 1940. To date more than 140,000 graduates and thousands of others who have had a Fresno State educational experience, have migrated to every state in the nation and many have located abroad. The university maintains database records of more than 200,000 alumni, past students and friends of the university. Annual members number approximately 5,500 and Life members number approximately 2,200. The alumni, from the very first graduating class till today, desire to maintain and promote traditions and connections at Fresno State. | Overview | |
| Under the direction of the Executive Director of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Outreach Program Administrator is responsible for the development and implementation of all alumni programs and online services to significantly increase the outreach and online presence of the Alumni and the University to alumni and students. The Alumni Outreach Program Administrator formulates, executes and evaluates program and online strategic goals, long-term planning and budgets. The Administrator also represents the Alumni Association and/or the University at on and off-campus meetings, conferences and seminars, and may assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Executive Director. | |
| Position Summary | |
| Manage all programs for the Alumni Association including, but not limited to Alumni Chapters, Student Alumni Association, Young Alumni, Commencement Activities, and Alumni Scholarship Program. Create and improve elements of the Alumni Association's Career Services programs for alumni and students including, but not limited to Dinner with 12 Bulldogs, alumni mentoring programs and participation with the campus Career Center. Promote, steward and maintain the Alumni Scholarship Program, ensuring compliance with any and all University and legal policies. Oversee the structure and content development, and coordination of the Alumni Association website, and other online services. Ensure updated and effective online communications of all alumni programs, events and services including the design and distribution of the e-newsletter, The Bulldog Byte. Execute techniques to design and promote the website and online services to all constituents. Serve as staff liaison on the Fresno State Alumni Association alliances committee and membership & marketing committees. Develop, manage and monitor the components of the Association budget that are related to alumni programs and online services. Establish relationships and work collaboratively with the appropriate representatives of the eight colleges/schools, athletics, student affairs and other university staff to generate interest in the alumni association among alumni and current students of the university. This may include having an Association presence at and participation in their events. Train and supervise student staff when working on alumni programs. |

| Knowledge, Skills & Abilities | |
| Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite. Outstanding organizational and management skills in administering personnel, volunteers, budget and other resources. Strong oral and written communications skills. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving and program creation. Demonstrated ability to: Work collaboratively in a complex environment, but also to work independently and without close supervision. Relate and work with an ethnically diverse constituency of donors, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students and educational leaders. Some travel, as well as weekend and evening meetings and events, as appropriate to execute duties of the position. |

| Education and Experience | |
| A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university. Two years experience in public relations, marketing, or development for a nonprofit organization or comparable professional or volunteer experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Experience in web content management. A history or regular attendance and positive performance evaluations. |
